Ready For Some Spartan Football.

This Year Saratoga Springs satarted their own Football League. The past three years Kyle had been playing on the Lehi team. But with all the growth and with the new high school coming next year in was time for a split.
For most of the boys on Kyle 7th Grade team, this was the first year they had played tackle football. Hence their team isn't the best 0-7 (smiles) but Kyle is still having fun, and they have improved tons since the first part of the season.

Kyle is playing the Center postion this year. He wasn't too sure if he was going to like it. It's a tough position. In the past he had always played tackle. But he is doing great there. He does get beat up a bit more and the older he gets the bigger the boys get. I'm always worried that he is going to get hurt.

I think Football is a great sport for boys. It very grueling physically it gets them into shape. But most of all there is no other sport that requires as much teamwork as football. In order to win Everyone has to do their part. These boys rely on one another. They have had the best coaches this year. I am amazed at how much time they VOLUNTEER. It's usually five days a week that theses men work all day and then come and work with these boys for a couple hours each night. Time they are away from their familes or other things they could be doing. As a parent I am very appeciative for how much time and effort they they put in to teaching my son football.
