Ashlynn's Birthday Wishes

Ashlynn and her good friend Hailey share the same Birthday, so they usually swap who's going to have their party that day. So on Ashlynn's "real" Birthday we just had a small family party. Ashlynn got to choose what we had for dinner...Homemade Burritos and what cake she wanted me to make...Coconut.

The Friday before was the opening of High School Musical 3. We had Ashlynn's friends over for Pizza and Ice cream Sundays before we headed to the movie.

Ashlynn is our inspiring Fashion designer. When I asked her what she wanted for her Birthday she said "a bunch of fabric... Shinny, Sparkly fabric." Aunt Karen gave her some Birthday money and this is what she bought with it. Her friend Hailey also gave her fabric. She was in heaven. Another little friend Megyn gave her a fashion sketch book, which she spent all weekend doodling in. So keep an eye out for "Ashlynn's Fashions." Soon to hit the runways.

I think Brinley is a little jealous about Ashlynn's Gabriella doll. Brinley actually ended up spending her Birthday money on a Gabriella AND Troy doll for herself.

The Girls had a good time. I even thought the movie was pretty good.
Ashlynn I hope all your Birthday wishes come true.

Elvis is in the House

Ashlynn had a Daddy Daughter date with her dad. It was a Halloween Costume party and Ashlynn dressed up as a 50's girl while Brian dressed up as Elvis.
There were a bunch of GREAT costumes. Everyone went all out. It was really fun. Here Are the winners of the costume contest. Don't they look AWESOME!

This year we decided to do a service project and go TRICK or TREATING for the food bank. So after dinner, the girls and their dads went around the neighborhood collecting food. They collected over 500 cans and we delivered it to the local food bank. Way to go girls and dads!

Karson's New Friend

While celebrating Brinley's Birthday at Hee Haws, Karson made a new friend. He loved hanging out in the petting zoo, where he really bonded with this chicken. I couldn't believe how brave he was.

Celebrating Brinley

Brinley turned 7 on October 22nd and we spent the whole day Celebrating her. Brinley is my determined little girl who likes things her way and is very hard to persuade other wise. I had a hard time picking out an outfit for her this year. I loved this outfit, but was very worried that she was going to refuse to wear it, since often times I will buy her clothes and she will say " I look stupid." So I went to her room to give her her outfit. She told me to go out while she got dressed. So I walked away to go make her Birthday Breakfast, crossing my fingers that we would not have a battle. A few minutes later she came prancing into the kitchen saying "I love these leggins." Whew! dodged a bullet. I'm so glad she liked it. I though she looked adorable.

Karson and I went to visit Brinley and take her class a treat. Before they sang Happy Birthday to her, the kids got to ask Brinley some questions about herself. It was all cute until they started asking questions about me, including when I was born. I let them know that I was REALLY REALLY OLD!

When deciding on what we were going to do for Brinley's Party this year, the original plan was to go to Justice. It's a girls clothing store that also hosts Birthday Parties. You go there and do "girly" things. Like getting your hair and nails done and doing some crafty things. She had talked about for the last six months. But then she really wanted her little friend Wesley who is a little boy she always plays with to come. So She asked if we could go to Hee Haw Farms instead. Of course I was more than happy to oblige.

They had a lot of fun on the Tractor rides, slides and little spook alleys.

The kids that were a bit bigger had fun peddling the go carts around.

It turned out to be a perfect day.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRINLEY!

My Favorite of Brinley

Going through My Pictures taken at the Star Mill, I came across this one of Brinley. She always has that cute little smile. And I just absolutely love her little mole on her nose.

Milling Around The Old Star Mill

My newest ambition is to be a Photographer. So for our Anniversary this year my sweet husband Brian bought me a camera to play around with, until I can enroll in photography classes at the local University. Which I'm shooting for the bgining of the year. So anyways, since Kyle and Brian were away on the deer hunt this weekend. I took the youngest three to the Star Mill for a little photo shoot.

I took this one especially for Brain. He always teases me about cutting peoples heads off.

Here's a cute one of Karson and Brinley.

Ashlynn is always good to pose for me (the other two... not so much) I got quite a few good ones of her that I will have to post later.

They didn't cooperate for long. While I was trying to photograph Karson, Brinley and Ashlynn came zooming by. I asked what they were doing. "Chasing Apples Mom!"

There was the apple tree next to the little creek. Brinley would shake the tree and the apples would float down the stream. And the girls would chase after them to see whose apple made it under the bridge first.

They had a good time and I pretty much gave up on getting them to pose and just let them play. I did however get some cute candid shots.

Brinley with her winning apple.

The END!

Wish I could Figure Out This Blogging Stuff

ARGH! I'm new to this blogging stuff, and I wish I could figure out how to do what I want it to do and figure WHY it does things that it SHOULDN'T. Like why is part of my sentence in the post below highlighted? And then why is there such a big empty space at the end of my post? I NEED LESSON!

Our Budding Sculptor

For Fourth Grade Social Studies this year, they are studying Utah History. One of the project was to sculpt someone famous. Ashlynn chose Sally Kanosh. Sally was an Indian girl who was adopted by Brigham Young and then later became wife to Chief Kanosh. I am so proud of her. Ashlynn is such a good student and she tries her best at everything she does. It took her over two hours to complete but she stuck with it and it turned out great.

Don't you think it looks "Just like" Sally Kanosh?

Ashlynn was so excited to take her Sculptor to school. She was very proud of it and thought it would be the best in her class. Although later she came home andtold me that it was only second best. Ashlynn you'll always be best in my book.
